Capsicum Oleoresin Extraction Plant is a specialized facility designed to extract oleoresin from chili peppers (Capsicum species), which contains capsaicin—the compound responsible for the pungency and many therapeutic benefits—as well as carotenoids and essential oils. The process begins with sourcing high-quality, dried chili peppers, which are cleaned and ground to increase surface area for efficient extraction. Using solvents such as hexane or ethanol, the bioactive compounds are extracted through solvent extraction methods. After extraction, the solvent is removed via evaporation or vacuum distillation to concentrate the oleoresin. The resulting oleoresin is then purified and filtered to remove impurities and residues, producing a potent, reddish-brown oily extract.
