Welcome to Best Engineering Technologies
An Ajwain spice oil distillation plant is a specialized facility designed to extract essential oil from the seeds of Trachyspermum ammi, commonly known as ajwain or carom seeds. Ajwain oil is prized for its strong, pungent aroma and medicinal properties, including digestive, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory effects. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, food flavoring, and aromatherapy industries.
The extraction process primarily uses steam distillation. The cleaned and dried ajwain seeds are loaded into a stainless steel distillation chamber. Steam is passed through the seeds under controlled temperature and pressure, causing the volatile oils to vaporize. The vapor then passes into a condenser, where it cools and separates into essential oil and hydrosol. The oil is collected, filtered, and stored in airtight containers to preserve its potency.
Modern ajwain oil distillation plants are equipped with stainless steel boilers, distillation units, condensers, separators, and automated controls for temperature and pressure to ensure maximum yield and high-quality oil. The essential oil contains key components such as thymol, gamma-terpinene, and p-cymene, which contribute to its distinctive aroma and therapeutic benefits. These plants are designed with hygiene and safety standards to meet pharmaceutical and food-grade requirements.
