Mace(Husk) Oil Distillation Plant

A Mace (Husk) oil distillation plant is a specialized facility designed to extract essential oil from the dried, lacy aril (husk) that surrounds the nutmeg seed, known as mace, from the Myristica fragrans tree. Mace essential oil is cherished for its warm, spicy, sweet, and slightly woody aroma, and is widely used in perfumery, food flavoring, pharmaceuticals, and aromatherapy for its stimulant, digestive, and anti-inflammatory properties.

The extraction process involves steam distillation, where dried mace husks are placed in stainless steel distillation chambers. Steam is passed through the material, vaporizing the volatile aromatic compounds. These vapors are then condensed and collected, allowing the separation of the essential oil from the hydrosol. The oil is filtered and stored in airtight, dark glass containers to preserve its fragrance and therapeutic value.

Modern mace oil distillation plants are equipped with efficient boilers, corrosion-resistant stills, high-grade condensers, and oil separators, with automated systems to regulate temperature and pressure for optimal oil yield and quality. Mace oil contains key constituents such as myristicin, sabinene, and eugenol, which give it both aromatic richness and medicinal activity. The plant operates under stringent hygiene and quality control protocols, ensuring the production of high-purity mace essential oil for applications in the flavor, fragrance, and wellness industries.
